FFX - Script - Sin
Cid
"Well, this is it, eh?"
Tidus
"Yu Yevon's hiding somewhere inside Sin, and we're gonna find him."
Cid
"Well, that sounds pretty simple."
Tidus
"Simple is the way you like it, right?"
Cid
"You got that right."
Rikku
"Pops! I'm countin' on you!"
Cid
"Right, got you covered!"
[He walks over to a computer panel, and types in something. The Hymn of the Fayth begins to play]
"How's that?"
Rikku
"Right on!"
[Yuna listens intently]
Lulu
"A singing ship in the sky."
Wakka
"I hope everyone got the message."
Brother
Sin!
[FMV: Off in the distance, Sin is floating, staring at them]
Tidus
"All right, we're going in!"
Wakka
"How we gonna get inside?"
Tidus
"The easy way! How else?"
Rikku
"Figures."
Lulu
"Well? Let's go!"
[Tidus looks at Yuna. She nods. Everyone runs out]
Cid
"Hey, how you plan on getting inside?"
Tidus
"If we can't get through the mouth, we'll rip open a new one! You with me?"
[Cid laughs]
Cid
"Now that's what I call a plan!"
Brother
"Vydran! E ghuf fryd du ica!"
("Father! I know what to use!")
Cid
"Aha! Of course!"
Tidus
"Of course!"
Cid
"All right!"
"We'll give that thing a new blowhole. All you gotta do is jump!"
Tidus
"Roger!"
Cid
"I won't tell ya to be careful. Do your worst, kiddo!"
Tidus
"Roger!"
Brother
"Fyed!"
("Wait!)
[Tidus stares at him. Brother coughs]
"Rikku, you...guard."
Tidus
"Will do!"
[The group runs onto the airship deck. The Hymn of the Fayth can be clearly heard]
Rikku
"I can hear the song!"
Lulu
"Yes, I can hear the Hymn, too."
Rikku
"They listened to us!"
Tidus
"We won't let them down!"
[He walks to the edge and turns to face Yuna]
"Yuna?"
[She looks at him and goes "Hmm?"]
Tidus
"You don't need this anymore, right?"
[He holds out her sphere. She gasps and is embarassed]
"Right?"
[He throws it overboard. He looks at her. She nods. Moments later, the airship shakes]
Wakka
"Hey, guys? Guys? That's not good, ya?"
[FMV. Sin produces a big black ball of energy in front of its mouth. The ship continues to shake. Everyone falls to their knees. Its mouth opens, as the large energy ball completely encircles his body. We see an overview of Spira from space, covered in clouds, except for a small hole formed by Sin's energy ball.......he releases it, and it fires it, along with 5 other identical energy balls, in six different directions. They move across the ground at a tremendous speed, cutting through everything]
[Everyone on the airship stands up. All is silent. Rikku looks at the path of the energy ball, carved into the ground, ocean, and clouds. Suddenly, another blast returns their way! The blast approaches the airship, as the group starts to run back into it, but too late; a big fiery explosion is seen. From space, we see six seperate orangish lines converging on one point...]
[Scene returns to the Airship deck. Tidus is lying face-down. He looks up. Sin is RIGHT in front of him and the airship, staring at them]
Tidus
"Damn you, old man..."
Cid
"Hey, I saw somethin' shine at the base of Sin's arm!"
"I reckon it's a weak spot!"
[Everyone's back on the airship deck, standing and ready to fight. The ship shakes]
Brother
"Cruud!"
("Shoot!")
Cid
"Fryd, fryd?"
("What, what?")
Brother
"Fa yna bimmat po Sin!"
("We are pulled by Sin!")
Rikku
"Sin's pulling us in!"
[Scene change: We see Sin, flying alongside the ship at the exact same speed, from a distance]
Cid
"Everyone, back inside!"
Brother
"Duu myda! Ed lusac!"
("Too late! It comes!")
[Boss battle vs. Sin's Left Fin. After defeating it, the airship flies past it. The scene changes to the bridge]
Cid
"Here goes! Everyone, hold on to something!"
"Here we go!"
[FMV. Two large cone-like structures are revealed at the base of the airship. It fires an energy blast that connect with Sin's fin, totally shearing it off of Sin's body. The scene changes back to the group on the deck, looking on in surprise. Tidus gasps]
Tidus
"Got it!"
Cid
"Couldn't have done it without you!"
"All right!"
"Everyone look sharp! Time to hit the other side!"
Rikku
"Easy for you to say!"
[Boss battle vs. Right Fin. They defeat it. The airship passes Sin once more. Scene changes to the bridge]
Cid
"Nayto? Vena!"
("Ready? Fire!")
[FMV: they hit the other weak spot with the energy cannon. The other fin is shared off and tumbles downwards. Sin is now fin-less]
Cid
"Yeehaw! Where next?"
Brother
"Ed ec ujan."
("It is over.")
Cid
"Fryd? Fa ryja uhmo pakih!"
("What? We have only begun!")
Brother
"Pid dra syeh kih, ed ec pnugah!"
("But the main gun, it is broken!")
Cid
"Dr-dryd lyhhud pa!"
("Th-that cannot be!")
[Scene changes to the group on the deck]
Rikku
"The main gun's busted!"
Cid
"Dang it! All right, back inside! Time for another plan!"
Tidus
"No! We're going in!"
"Every blitzer knows: when you got the ball, you gotta score!"
Yuna
"Let's go!"
[She runs to the edge of the deck and jumps over]
Tidus
"Hey! Star players first!"
[He runs and jumps. The remaining five do the same. They successfully land on Sin's skin. Unfortunately, a boss manifests itself. Boss fight vs. Sinspawn Genais and Sin. Sin is actually its "core". They both get defeated, as always]
[FMV: Sin falls, with the airship near it. The group, back on the airship, hang on for dear life. Sin tumbles down near Bevelle, as the people there look on in fear/horror. The group looks at Sin's crash landing from the safety of the airship's deck. The scene changes back to the airship]
Brother
"Vydran! E lyhhud pameaja fryd E caa!"
("Father! I cannot believe what I see!")
Cid
"Pameaja ed, cuh! Drao'ja tuha ed! Ed ec rybbahehk!"
("Believe it, son! They've done it! It is happening!")
[The group re-enters the bridge]
Brother
"Rikku, aqlammahd!"
("Rikku, excellent!")
Yuna
"It's going to come back, isn't it?"
Tidus
"I know."
Cid
"What? You're kidding me!"
Tidus
"No! We have to beat the guy inside Sin."
Wakka
"The Crusaders would be out of a job if it was this easy."
Lulu
"But it has weakened. I'm sure of it."
Rikku
"Yeah! We're winning!"
Cid
"All right, I'll do what I can with the main gun!"
[He walks out of the room. Yuna follows him. Tidus goes to the airship deck and finds Yuna standing there, alone. She's looking out into the distance, her back facing Tidus]
Yuna
"I wonder if Sir Jecht is in pain."
Tidus
"Let's just end this...quickly."
"The fayth said they would help us, right?"
Yuna
"It bothers me, the way they said that."
Tidus
"Huh?"
Yuna
"I mean, they've been fighting alongside us this whole time, but now they say they'll help?"
Tidus
"I guess so..."
Yuna
"Wait!"
"Sin is reborn when Yu Yevon merges with an aeon, isn't that right?"
[Tidus nods]
"If I summon an aeon, Yu Yevon will join with it."
"But at first, it'll be small, won't it?"
Tidus
"Yeah..."
"Then, we might be able to beat it without the Final Summoning."
Yuna
"I don't know. What if Yu Yevon jumps again?"
Tidus
"Then we'll take it down again!"
"We'll fight him until there's no place left to run!"
Yuna
"I never thought it would come down to this."
Tidus
"Yeah, I know."
"Hey, the fayth, they're tired of this whole thing, too."
"Let's let them rest."
Yuna
"The fayth said it's pointless to keep dreaming."
"The dream will disappear, he said."
"What did he mean?"
"And what is it that Yu Yevon is summoning from within Sin?"
Tidus
"The dream of the fayth."
Yuna
"You won't...go away, will you?"
[Rikku's voice comes over the intercom]
Rikku
"Yunie! Guys! Come look! Something's happening to Sin!"
[FMV. Sin stands up. Large white wings sprout from where its fins used to be. It floats up and goes above a large tower in Bevelle, simply floating there, motionless. Scene changes; Tidus and Yuna are returning to the bridge]
Auron
"Jecht... He's waiting for you."
Cid
"Well, son, the main gun is still busted! We can't give you any cover fire!"
Tidus
"Hey, just take us in. We'll do the rest."
[He looks around the room. Lulu nods; Rikku winks; Wakka lifts his arm. Tidus almost looks like he's gonna cry]
Cid
"All right."
"Take us up, flush to the mouth!"
"No mistakes, or I'm gonna tear out that mop you call hair!"
[Brother nods]
Brother
"Trust...me. Me...take you there. No problem...ya?"
Tidus
"Let's get ready to blitz!"
Yuna
"Our father's wishes... Let's make them come true!"
[The group heads back to the airship deck. FMV: Sin looks at them and flies up. It floats there, staring down the airship]
Cid
"Here we go!"
Tidus
"Yeah!"
"I'm coming for you, Dad!"
[Boss battle begins vs. Sin. It gets defeated. FMV: its mouth opens up wide, and lots of white mist comes out. The Airship enters it, as the group looks on. Inside Sin, there are brown clouds underneath them, and tons of pyreflies. Rikku looks around at the pyreflies, surprised. The surprise turns to horror, though; we hear the sinister laugh of Seymour, and far in front of the ship, a massive image of part of Seymour's face is shown. The face approaches the group rapidly, and passes by them. They look around, wondering what just happened. The scene returns with the airship landed]
Tidus
"Dad! Where are you?"
Auron
"We must go to him."
Tidus
"Then we will! Let me take front!"
Yuna
"Good luck."
Tidus
"Follow me!"
[They make their way through Sin, eventually reaching a staircase. They climb up it, confronting the blue-haired bastard himself. Seymour laughs]
Tidus
"Don't you ever give up?"
Seymour
"Sin has chosen me."
"I am part of Sin. I am one with Sin, forever."
"Immortal!"
Tidus
"Sin just absorbed you."
Seymour
"I will learn to control it, from within. I have all the time in the world."
"Since you were gracious enough to dispose of Yunalesca..."
[He begins to transform, as his voice sounds more metallic]
"the only means of destroying Sin is forever gone."
"Now nothing can stop us!"
Tidus
"Well, we can!"
Seymour
"By all means, try!"
"You should thank me. Your death means your father's life!"
[Boss Battle vs. Seymour Omnis. Your team.....DIES! Okay, just kidding. Seymour loses for a fourth and final time. Poor guy. The scene changes to Seymour, back in human form, as he stumbles backwards and falls to his knees]
Seymour
"No!"
Wakka
"Now! Yuna, send him!"
Yuna
"Right!"
[She steps forward and begins to send him]
Seymour
"So it is you, after all, who will send me."
"But even after I am gone, Spira's sorrow will prevail."
[A bright beam of light appears on him, and he gets sent. Dozens upon dozens of pyreflies depart and fly upwards from where his body once was]
Tidus
"Sin will be right behind you."
[They travel through the next series of screens, known as the "City of Dying Dreams", which is, well, actually a sort of mechanical city. Lots of metallic buildings and structures. On to another screen, called "Tower of the Dead"; Tidus walks down a long path, and suddenly, from high above, a huge....thing comes down, smashing into the ground. Tidus narrowly avoids getting squished by it. This thing is, more than likely, the Tower of the Dead. Tidus approaches it and looks up. It's a huge mechanical construct, with multiple icons with a strange symbol; the symbol of Yu Yevon. At the base of it is the same symbol; approaching it makes the screen go white. The screen fades in on some....strange area, with crystals that shoot out of the ground. Take not: the screen where we see Luzzu and the other dead people after Operation Mi'ihen is THIS exact same screen. What this means can only be theorized, really. Anyways, scattered throughout the room, appearing at random, are 10 special treasures. After collecting all ten, Tidus gets sucked up into the sky. The screen goes white]
