December 15th, 2001 - Just when is blinking Final Fantasy X coming out? Square can't seem to make their minds up on the North American release, but you can
wedge a hefty sum on the UK release date: spring 2002. Or around there.
This past week has seen a load of rumours fly across the internet regarding the North American release of the game
thats already been out in Japan for around six months. First whisperings were that it would see a limited release
on boxing day, but now that has been pushed back to the 18th December in an official announcement. Yes, thats right, if you live in America or Canada you'll be able to get the game in three days time (probably five as the 18th is the shipment day, but who's counting? Arf). But there's only 500,000 copies so no doubt a lot will miss out and have to wait until next year. Ha ha ha.
As for Blighty (also known as the UK), who knows? A quick check on the Square Europe website reveals that Final Fantasy IX is due to be released on the 16th of February 2001, so everyone hold tight. Enquiring to the nice young man behind the counter at HMV sporting a fantastic side-parting reveals that the game's out in 2002. Yes, so now you have it.
Our guess is around Spring 2002 for a UK/European release but don't hold your breath: they've got those tricky
borders to incorporate.
Is this Final Fantasy XII? Looks pretty authentic, but you know what kids with too much time on their
hands can knock up in their beloved Photoshop these days. It was worth putting up because, well, it looks pretty.
And finally, some characters from the online-only Final Fantasy XI to have a gander at:

Merry Christmas and a happy new year!
